About

Health Defend draws upon the experience and expertise of trusted health organizations.

Shots Heard

Shots Heard is a physician-led all-volunteer network of health professionals dedicated to combating online harassment of HCPs. The network helps individuals and organizations prepare for and respond to coordinated online attacks by a range of individuals and organizations.

Since Shots Heard was founded by a Pittsburgh-based pediatric practice in 2019, attacks on health care providers have dramatically increased in number. Most of these attacks are directed toward HCPs promoting vaccines, and these attacks are substantially more sophisticated than before the pandemic.

Shots Heard is the only program of its kind in the United States.
